Why is Buddee "school safe"?
With no-nut policies in schools all around Australia, parents are asked to avoid nut based spreads being taken to school. So Buddee is a delicious nut free alternative that children can safely take to school.

Buddee spreads are NOT suitable for people with chickpea allergy.
If Buddee is nut free and allergen friendly, what's it made of?
The main ingredient in Buddee spreads is chickpea. Not only is chickpea healthy, but also high in protein and dietary fibre. But shhh!!... don't tell the kids that! ;)
Is Buddee made in Australia?
Yes! Buddee spreads are made right here in Melbourne, Australia, using at least 95% Australian ingredients. Furthermore, Buddee is made in our purpose built, allergen friendly facility that is also free from Australia's top 10 most common food allergens.
What do the stars mean on the label?
These stars are Health Star Ratings. It is a system that rates the overall nutritional profile of packaged food and assigns it a rating from ½ a star to 5 stars. It provides a quick, easy, standard way to compare similar packaged foods. The more stars, the healthier the choice.
We are proud that both Smooth and Crunchy hold a 5 star Health Star Rating, and Chocolate holds a 4.5 star Health Star Rating.
Do Buddee spreads contain palm oil or preservatives?
No. Buddee spreads are completely free from palm oil and preservatives.
Why is there sometimes a layer of oil on the top, and/or sometimes it's a bit dry at the bottom?
Similar to many nut butters, it is very normal for spreads of this nature to have the oil slowly rise to the top. So when you first open the jar and every so often, give it a good stir all the way to the bottom. This will also help prevent the bottom from drying out.
